CURRICULUM:

• Components of the Pilates Xformer equipment
• Reformer repertoire from Beginning to Advanced on the Xformer
• Effective class cueing
• Modifications for individuals including pregnant clients, the injured, elderly, and those with neck/back problems
• How to design a class that flows well with minimal spring changes and moving around of equipment
• How to effectively teach a multi-level class so that all students can benefit

TEXT MATERIALS:

• REMIX PILATES Manual (included in your tuition)
• Anatomy of Movement by Blandine Calais-Germain (purchase here) (recommended)
• REMIX PILATES sample routines

COURSE COMPONENTS:

• 13 hours lecture/practical
• 10 classes at Remix (available at 20%)
• 10 hours of self-practice (studio use included in training fee for up to 6 months)
• 3 hours Reformer observation at Remix (included in training fee for 6 months)
• Test Out/Audition: The test out takes place after the completion of the course and consists of the following:
  • A practical exam where you will be asked to perform various exercises on the Xformer
  • Teaching of a 25-minute class in the Remix format
